The Spine Team
was started in 2004 by Gordon Linscott and
For many years
back pain has been regarded as a straightforward disorder, like an injury, which
should ‘heal’, however research suggests there is no relation between the causal
‘injury’ and the pain suffered, indeed in many cases there is no injury at all.
In spite of this a strategy of treating the pain and ignoring the patient is
still practiced and unsurprisingly continues to prove ineffective. The Spine
Team focus on the patient working with them to understand what has happened to
them and what they can do to help themselves.
The Spine Team
is a multi disciplinary team and integrate care for the individual, considering
their particular problem and their unique situation, using the patient centred
model. Together Gordon and Annette bring a wealth of experience, expertise
and enthusiasm to the treatment and management of back pain, a problem that
causes so much pain and disability.
